Hello, this is Shinobu, editor of Atmoph’s Scenery Information.

The year 2024 is almost over. At Atmoph Window, we’ve released approximately 150 new sceneries throughout the year. Have you enjoyed them?

Since its start in 2022, the “Atmoph View Awards” has become an annual tradition. We’ve completed the tally for 2024 as well! Today, we’re excited to announce the Top 10 sceneries that received the most Likes this year.

About the Like Count:

• The results are based on data as of December 9, 2024.
• Sceneries released earlier in the year naturally had more time to accumulate Likes, so please bear this in mind.

10th Sunset at Ao Nang Beach 

Our 10th place winner is the breathtaking sunset at Ao Nang Beach in Krabi, southern Thailand. This expansive beach stretches over 1 km along the Andaman Sea, offering soft sands, resort hotels, restaurants, and bustling shops nearby.

After a full day of island-hopping and adventure, there’s nothing more soothing than winding down with this serene sunset. Picture yourself strolling barefoot along the orange-tinted shores—pure bliss.

9th Twilight at Tokyo Tower 

The iconic Tokyo Tower illuminated against the twilight sky claims 9th place. As the city descends into night, the tower’s bright lights create a stunning contrast.

Captured in 2022, this view includes the under-construction Azabudai Hills in the background, now Japan’s tallest building. With the city’s ever-changing skyline, the scene must look quite different today.

8th Cais da Ribeira 

In 8th place, we travel to Porto, Portugal, where Cais da Ribeira’s riverfront view enchants at sunset. This 300-meter-long promenade along the Douro River is bustling with cafes, restaurants, and souvenir shops, blending historical charm with lively modern vibes.

Stroll past glowing street vendors and playful children, and immerse yourself in the stories unfolding along the riverside.

7th Morning Sun over the Tagus

Another Portuguese gem lands in 7th place! This time, it’s the mesmerizing sunrise over the Tagus River in Lisbon.

Seen from Alfama’s historic hilltop, this view captures the morning light illuminating red-roofed streets and docked cruise ships. It’s a dreamy setting that inspires wanderlust.

6th Iguazu Falls and Rainbow 

Our 6th-place winner is the mighty Iguazu Falls, straddling the Brazil-Argentina border. With a width of approximately 4 km, these falls are a testament to nature’s grandeur. Turn up the volume and feel the waterfall’s roar!

Brazil joined Atmoph’s scenery collection this year, and we couldn’t be happier. Be sure to explore Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo’s cityscapes as well!

5th Aurora at Hjalteyri 

In 5th place, we head to Hjalteyri, a quiet Icelandic fishing village near Akureyri, where the Northern Lights paint the sky in enchanting shades of green.

With a red lighthouse, shimmering moonlight, and the fjord’s peaceful shores, this view feels like a magical scene from a storybook.

4th Blossoms of Mount Yoshino

Claiming 4th place is Japan’s famed cherry blossom site, Mt. Yoshino in Nara Prefecture. Since ancient times, pilgrims and poets alike have cherished this blossoming wonderland.

This year’s view captures cherry blossoms blooming on the mountain’s upper slopes, wrapping you in soft pink petals and the charm of spring.

3rd Railay Beach 

Our bronze medal goes to Railay Beach in Krabi, Thailand. With limestone cliffs, emerald-green waters, and secluded shores accessible only by boat, it’s the perfect escape.

Despite its popularity, the area retains a serene and laid-back vibe, making it a beach lover’s paradise.

2nd Aurora at Húsavík 

Taking 2nd place is the magical view of the Northern Lights over Húsavík, Iceland. As the aurora dances across the night sky, its shimmering beauty reflects on the harbor waters, creating a spellbinding scene.

The ever-changing lights seem to weave stories across the celestial canvas—truly unforgettable.

1st Aldeyjarfoss 

And the grand prize goes to… Aldeyjarfoss Waterfall in Iceland’s central highlands!

Cascading from a height of 20 meters, the falls are framed by symmetrical basalt columns formed from ancient volcanic eruptions—nature’s awe-inspiring sculpture.

Iceland’s rugged beauty swept the top ranks this year, earning three spots in the Top 5. Its volcanoes, glaciers, and Northern Lights continue to captivate hearts around the world.
